He is survived, in addition to his beloved wife, by his five children: Mike Jr. Pastor Mike was the Senior Pastor at Highland Baptist Church of Parkesburg, where he faithfully served the Lord by teaching and preaching the Word of God for the past 18 years. He was a 1976 graduate of Flambeau High School, a 1980 graduate of Pillsbury Baptist Bible College and a 1985 graduate of Calvary Baptist Seminary's Master of Divinity Program. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Chodan, with whom he shared 23 years of marriage.Īn area resident for the past 18 years, Pastor Mike was born in Ladysmith, WI to Betty Chodan and the late Robert Chodan. He became an elder at Preston Highlands Baptist Church in 2021.Pastor Michael James Chodan, 53, of Christiana is enjoying the presence of his Savior. Jared currently works as a digital advertising specialist and enjoys cooking, gardening, strategy board games, and playing with the family cats. Jared loves being a father to his two little girls, Ember and Winter. Jared married his lovely wife, Katelyn in 2017 and they came to Preston Highlands Baptist Church in 2017. He furthered his education by assisting with seminary course development with the Founder’s Study Center as well as engaging in pastoral training with the Grace Theological Center in Cape Coral. Jared graduated from FGCU in 2011 with a BA in Communications and a minor in vocal performance. Jared struggled with finding what God would have him do with his life, but he found joy volunteering in the sound booth and as a Sunday School teacher. ![]() When he was 15, he gave his life to Jesus at a youth camp and was baptized later that year. He and his family moved to Cape Coral Florida when he was a teenager. Jared Puls was born in Fort Worth Texas while his father was in seminary. John was called to serve Preston Highlands Baptist Church as Pastor in 2014. In his free time, John loves to spend time with his family, read all kinds of books, run long distances, and watch Dallas Cowboys football. They were married in 2008 and have the joy of raising their three children, Elisha, Gideon, and Lidia. During these years in seminary John served in several churches and met his beautiful wife Suzy. From there he went to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received an M.Div and Th.M, and then to Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a Ph.D in Theology and Apologetics. It was at this time that he finally submitted his life fully to the Lord, surrendering his life to the Christian ministry. He went to East Texas Baptist University for his undergrad studies. Throughout Junior High and High School, he didn’t grow much as a Christian, choosing instead to live for himself. John Sypert was raised in rural East Texas where his parents faithfully took him and his siblings to church where he heard the good news of salvation and professed faith in Christ at age 7, being baptized shortly thereafter. ![]()
